Domain Expiry
Letting a domain expire can be catastrophic — your site goes offline, email stops working, and someone else could register your domain. Pulsewise monitors your domain's registration and alerts you well before it expires.
Available on: Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans Default frequency: Every 6 hours
How it works
Pulsewise queries domain registration data using the RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) via rdap.org. RDAP is the modern replacement for WHOIS, providing structured, machine-readable data about domain registrations.
Some country-code TLDs (e.g.
.com.au,.co.uk) may not provide all registration details through RDAP. In these cases, registration or expiration dates may be unavailable depending on what the registry reports.
Expiry alerts
Notifications are sent when your domain is within 30 days of expiry. If the domain expires without renewal, an additional notification is sent.
Domain details
The domain monitoring page shows:
- Current registrar
- Registration date (when available)
- Expiry date (when available)
- Days remaining

- Last changed date
Domain status codes
Pulsewise displays domain status codes (EPP statuses) with plain-language labels. Common statuses include:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK / Active | Domain is in normal operation |
| Client Transfer Prohibited | Registrar has locked transfers (common protection) |
| Server Transfer Prohibited | Registry has locked transfers |
| Client Delete Prohibited | Registrar has locked deletion |
| Auto Renew Period | Domain was recently auto-renewed |

| Domain Changed | Warning | Registrar, status, or expiration date changed |
